Paypal is a piece of shit

Really. It sucks.

I signed up for paycrap so that I could accept credit cards for work. Nice and easy, online billing, low rates, it all sounds great.
The I go to a customer site and fix a computer and they want to pay by visa. 'No problem,' I think. I create them an invoice on no-paypal and they pay by credit card without creating a whatyouwanttogetpaidpal account. It's a one off payment, why bother creating an account?

A few days later I'm told the money is on hold because SuckPal think it is suspicous transaction. Can I prove I shipped the item? I explained it was a service, as it showed on the type of invoice I created. I was onsite, there was no shipping. Grand so, a week or so later I can claim the money.
Then yesterday (about another week on) they reverse the decision, refund the money to the customer and tell me I owe them the money back. I ask why and they tell me;

"After further examination, PayPal has now completed the investigation of this transaction. We would like to inform you that the suspicion was confirmed and we have therefore reversed the transaction back to the buyer. Unfortunately, due to data protection we cannot disclose any further information in relation to the investigation."

So they won't tell me why.
I called an eventually they admitted that since the customer did not create an account with FuckingUselessPal they thought it was suspicous. They emailed the customer to verify the transaction and since the customer did not respond they reversed the transaction.

Really?

How many spam emails do you get a week from a bank or PissOffPal claiming there is a problem with the security on your account and asking you to verify it? And they were surprised that they got no response.

So I call the customer and confirm that they never disputed the transaction, had no problem with it at all and will pop a cheque in the post. Ah cheques, much easier

I've encountered several reversals so far, sometimes without any reason given whatsoever. I have a feeling PayPal is run by the Mafia.
