Seems they don't care to recycle. I bought a CLP-310 printer for putting out some flyers but when I go to try and refill the toner I find I can't. Why? A design feature that saves space and energy makes this not possible? A better quality of print?
Nope, Samsung put a chip in the toner cartridges that keeps track of how much was printed from it and stops you using it even if there is ink left or you refill it. The chip is not writable so no one can refill these.
Time to do more environmental damage and dump this printer at the local recycling centre and buy something else. Something that a) I can refill and b) doesn't get a paper jam if you have more than 20 sheets in it.
Poor show Samsung.
