Outsourcing has been tried, and has failed for a number of companies. It is still being tried and still failing for more companies. The government do it, namely they outsource jobs to "consultants" who get paid lots and lots of money. For the rest of us, our jobs are outsourced to India and China where they get very little money.
For once I may agree with outsourcing. After reading this article on the BBC, I think we should outsource some of our government work to China. Namely the Mahon tribunal. In China they have a problem with corruption, and they have set up their own Mahon type tribunal. As we would pay them very little compared to the lawyers here, the taxpayer would save a bundle. As last month they executed Zheng Xiaoyu, the former head of the country's food and drug watchdog, I think they may be slightly more effective than our current costly fiasco.
A win-win situation for everyone, the perfect model of how outsourcing, would for once, work.
