BCI banning ads

So the BCI banned the Trocaire ad. Who gives a shit? Well lots of people considering the amount of blog posts about it, but they all seem to miss the good that came out of this. The silver lining to the cloud. No, not the massive free publicity Trocaire got for their campaign, but the little bit of information about ad complaints that came out of it. I found this on McWilliams Photoblog.

Did you know it only takes 2 complaints in Ireland to get an advert checked out, madness.

There, that's the most important piece of information to come out of it. Not the injustice to girls, not the fuckedupness of the BCI. Nope, it's that piece of information. 2 complaints is all it takes. Right, who's joining me? Harvey Norman and Daft fucking Dave, your days are numbered.

I would have to agree with your Harvey Norman observations, unfortunately I think agencies have attempted to get rid of him already and failed. "Shouting is making me deaf" does not count as a valid complaint, ruining Irish radio advertising in my opinion should stand up. Producers now use the direction for voiceover actors to give it a "bit more Harvey Norman" jesh he has become a direction now!

Unfortunatley "Boyces Buses" is already taken. Some Letterkenny, haigh, feckers have done that.

To be honest if we ran one bus three times a day it would still be better and more reliable than irish rail
